Wellcraft

3300 Sport Bridge

1991–92

Wellcraft 3300 Sport Bridge
Not remembered as having been one of Wellcraft’s better-selling models, the 3300 Sport Bridge was built on the same wide-beam hull used in the production of the 3300 Coastal. Although she’s most at home as a fisherman, her roomy interior and wide-open deck layout make her an equally competent family cruiser. The floorplan is a little unusual in that the head is forward in the salon, across from the galley. A bi-fold door separates the bow stateroom from the salon, and a concealed rod storage compartment in the salon sole can handle 10-foot poles. The galley gets high marks for including lots of counter and storage space. On deck, the cockpit includes in-deck fish boxes, gunwale rod lockers, a bait prep center with sink, livewell, and an inward-opening transom door. The flybridge is very roomy for a 33-footer with bench seating forward of the helm. Note that prop pockets in the hull allow the engines to be located aft of the salon bulkhead where they’re accessed via removable hatches in the forward part of the cockpit. Standard 330hp gas engines cruise the Wellcraft 3300 Sport Bridge at a respectable 18–19 knots and deliver a top speed in the high 20s.
