Wellcraft

310 Sedan

1981–83

Wellcraft 310 Sedan
The Wellcraft 310 Sedan was introduced in 1981 as an inexpensive sedan cruiser suitable for light-tackle fishing or weekend cruising. With her raised foredeck and bold graphics, the 310 reflects the conservative styling trends of the early 1980s without being excessive. Unlike most Wellcraft designs, she rides on a deep-V hull, which makes her surprisingly capable in rough water. Below deck, big cabin windows and a wide beam make the galley-down floorplan seem unusually wide open and spacious. This is definitely not a luxury interior—the furnishings are basically no-frills in nature and the workmanship is average at best. While the 310’s cockpit is too small for any serious fishing, it’s still adequate for a couple of light-tackle anglers and their gear. Topside, the helm is forward on the bridge with bench seating aft. A hatch in the salon sole provides access to a fairly spacious engine room. Note that the side decks are very narrow. A salon wet bar and teak bow pulpit were standard. A variety of gas or diesel engine options were available in the 310 Sedan. Twin 235hp MerCruisers (with V-drives) cruise at 18 knots and reach 24–25 knots top.
