30 Scarab Tournament

2007–09

Wellcraft 30 Scarab Tournament
The 30 Scarab Tournament is a well-built center console descended from the original Wellcraft Scarabs so prominent in the offshore racing scene over 30 years ago. Wellcraft eventually matched the Scarab hull to a series of outboard-powered fishing boats that, after a slow start, went on to create an entirely new market for high-performance center consoles. That said, the 30 Scarab Tournament is not built on one of those race-bred Scarab hulls—they went out of production years ago. Like most of her modern go-fast counterparts, she rides on a slender deep-V hull designed for speed, agility, and superior rough-water handling. Her efficient deck layout includes large fore and aft macerated fish boxes, leaning post with lighted 21-gallon livewell, transom rigging station with sink, freshwater washdown, and 18 rod holders. At the bow are two more fish boxes under the seats, both with overboard drains. A nifty foldaway transom seat frees up cockpit space when necessary. The helm console has space for flush-mounting two big-screen video displays. A T-top with rocket launchers, flip-up bolster seats, and cockpit bolsters were standard. Yamaha 250hp outboards top out at nearly 45 knots.
