27 Scarab Tournament
2008–12
One of the more heavily built boats in this class, the 27 Scarab Tournament is an attractive blend of modern styling, excellent range, and a versatile front seating deck layout. With a 21-gallon lighted aft livewell, two lift-out 122-quart cockpit fish boxes, nine rod holders, a transom rigging station with sink and cutting board, and ample tackle storage, this boat is built to fish. The walkways around the console are wide enough for easy fore and aft access, and the step-down head compartment includes a freshwater sink and dry storage. A foldaway rear seat frees up much needed cockpit space, and flip-up bolster seats are a plus when the going gets rough. On the downside, the Scarab’s standard 21-gallon livewell is small—most buyers opted for a second 40-gallon unit with tackle drawers installed behind the leaning post. Additional features include a factory T-top with electronics box, forward fish/storage boxes, tilt-out storage bins (port/starboard), under-gunnel rod storage, raw-water washdown, cockpit bolsters, console cooler seat, pull-up cleats, and a transom door. A dry ride, twin 200hp outboards top out at close to 45 knots.
