Wellcraft 26 Antigua
Lasting three years in production, the Wellcraft 26 Antigua is a trailerable aft-cabin family cruiser whose rakish profile and colorful graphics give her a rather distinctive appearance. Trailerable cruisers models are a staple in the boating industry, and most have a decidedly top-heavy appearance thanks to their elevated foredecks—necessary to provide good headroom below. Not so with the Antigua: her nearly flush foredeck gives her a balanced, low-profile look absent in most aft-cabin trailerable designs. The Antigua’s midcabin interior is fairly straightforward with berths for six, an enclosed head compartment, privacy curtains for the sleeping areas, a mini-galley, and sliding cabin windows with screens. A wraparound windshield surrounds the helm which comes with an elevated doublewide seat. A pair of hatches in the cockpit sole provides easy access to the motor, and a bench seat and transom door are standard. Lacking side decks, a walk-through in the windshield provides access to the bow. Note the Antigua’s deep integrated swim platform—great for swimming and diving activities. Cruise at 20–21 knots (30+ top) with a single 300hp gas I/O.
