Vicem

58 Classic

2018–Current

Launched in 2018, the Vicem 58 Classic replaced the original V58 Classic produced in 2004–12. The Vicem is built in Turkey on a cold molded mahogany hull encapsulated in West System epoxy. With a long, graceful profile, the V58 is a traditional Downeast-style cruiser. Her three-stateroom, two head interior highlighted with beaujpgully crafted mahogany woodwork throughout. Going against the galley-aft trend, Vicem designed the 58 Classic with a lower galley that has an atrium-like space above it. Below, the layout includes a master with an island berth in the bow, a portside stateroom with bunks, and a stateroom with twin berths across from the galley. There are two heads, each with a stall shower. The V58’s large cockpit features an L-shaped transom seat around a teak table, an aft-facing lounge seat, and a starboard-side console with a sink, refrigerator and grill. An electric cockpit awning unfolds from the aft edge of the house roof to shade the aft deck. Wide side decks and cabintop handrails provide excellent security while walking forward. On the downside, wide windshield mullions compromise helm visibility. Twin 800hp MAN inboard diesels cruise at 22–24 knots (high 20s top).
