260 Stalker

1995–97

Shamrock 260 Stalker
A popular boat for Shamrock during her production years, the 260 Stalker is a trailerable center console fisherman with a small cuddy cabin and a well-conceived deck layout. The Stalker’s biggest selling point, of course, is her unique Keel-Drive hull with its full-length skeg keel and protected prop and rudder—a design that all but eliminates the possibility of damaging a prop or rudder in shallow water. A relatively narrow boat for her size (and often a wet ride in a chop), the hull is nonetheless very stable and easily capable of handling a tower. The Stalker offers an extra measure of weather protection for those seated forward of the console with a handsome, low-profile deck windshield. Below, the compact cabin has an enclosed head in addition to V-berths and storage. Additional features include a recirculating livewell at the transom, trim tabs, a lockable electronics box, bow pulpit, cockpit lights, foam flotation and an in-deck fishbox. A modest performer (the Keel-Drive hull, for all its benefits, takes a toll on performance), a standard 240hp gas inboard will cruise at an efficient 20 knots and reach a top speed of around 30 knots.
