Seaswirl Striper 2600 Walkaround
The Seaswirl 2600 Walkaround is a budget-priced trailerable West Coast fisherman with a large fishing cockpit and an extensive list of standard equipment. This is a simple and straightforward boat; hull construction is solid fiberglass and, unlike most competitive walkaround models, the Seaswirl’s engine is mounted on the transom rather than an integrated bracket. The cockpit is arranged with swivel helm and companion seats forward, in-deck storage boxes aft on either side of the motor well, under-gunwale rod racks, saltwater washdown, an oval live well, and storage bins at each corner of the transom. Visibility from the helm is very good and there’s room for flush-mounting electronics in the dash. The no-frills cabin has a V-berth, mini-galley, and a portable head between the berths. Note that the Seaswirl’s foam-filled hull cavities make her unsinkable, even when swamped—a safety feature seldom found in other boats this size. A single 200hp outboard will cruise at 21–22 knots (about 33 knots top), and twin 150s cruise at 26 knots and reach 40+ knots top.
