Sea Ray Yachts 300 SLX
The Sea Ray 300 SLX is a quality open-deck day boat loaded with premium amenities and features—basically an updated version of the Sea Ray 290 Select EX produced in 2005–08. Built on a modified deep-V hull with a wide 9'8" beam and a solid fiberglass bottom, the interior of the Sea Ray 290 offers entertaining and seating space for a small crowd. Two seating plans were available—one with a back-to-back (fold-down) companion seat, and another with a double-wide helm seat. A refreshment center includes a wet bar with bottle rack, trash bin, and optional refrigerator, and cockpit and bow tables can be stowed while underway. The sporty burlwood dash is a plus, and a lockable head/change compartment in the portside helm console comes with a freshwater sink and pullout shower. As with most bowriders, removable cushions convert the entire forward seating area into a vast sun pad. A power engine compartment hatch is standard. Note the swim platform storage lockers. An extended swim platform was a popular option. A single 375hp MerCruiser I/O tops out at 40 knots; twin 260hp Mercs reach 45+ wide open.
