300 Sedan Bridge

1985–87

Sea Ray Yachts 300 Sedan Bridge
Introduced in 1985, the Sea Ray 300 Sedan Bridge is a wide-beam flybridge cruiser whose blend of spacious accommodations, contemporary lines, and affordable price appealed to entry-level buyers looking for a lot of boat for the money. Designed primarily for the family market, she features an open, space-efficient floorplan with a full galley, a head with shower, and berths for as many as six. An angled double bed is fitted in the forward stateroom (rather than V-berths), and both the dinette and salon sofa convert to into double berths. A lower helm was a popular option in the Sedan Bridge, although visibility is less than ideal. Three lift-out hatches in the cockpit floor provide good access to the engine compartment, and a transom door and swim platform were standard. Topside, the flybridge is arranged cruising-style with the helm forward and guest seating aft. Note that side-dumping exhausts keep noxious fumes out of the cockpit. On the downside, the side decks are very narrow on this boat. Twin 260hp MerCruiser inboard gas engines (with V-drives) will cruise the 300 Sedan Bridge around 20 knots and top out in the high 20s.
