270 Weekender
1992–93
The Sea Ray 270 Weekender is a trailerable 1990s cruiser whose spacious, single-level cockpit and modest cabin accommodations make her very different from most of Sea Ray’s express cruiser models. This is a boat for those whose place a priority on outdoor fun rather than cruising comfort. Indeed, the defining characteristic of the 270 Weekender is cockpit space—enough, in fact, for several anglers to fish without bumping elbows. Enough even for a gang of kids to have fun without any wet bars or lounge seats getting in their way. This is what many boating enthusiasts call a “day boat”, i.e., an open-air party platform. On the Weekender, cabin accommodations are straightforward and basic; convertible dinette/V-berth forward, mini-galley to port, and a standup head opposite with sink and shower. And because the 270 Weekender is trailerable, her slender 8-foot, 6-inch beam results in a decidedly claustrophobic interior with just enough room for two adults. Standard features include a transom door, integral swim platform, and a foldaway rear seat. Built on a solid fiberglass, deep-V hull, a single 300hp MerCruiser I/O will cruise the Sea Ray 270 Weekender at 20 knots (30+ top).
