270 Sundeck

Sea Ray Yachts 270 Sundeck
One of the bigger deckboats on the market when she was introduced in 2002, the Sea Ray 270 Sundeck might easily be confused with a full-blown sportboat were it not for her broad bow area with its lounge seating and walk-through boarding gate. The 270 differs from other deckboats in that she includes a berth under the starboard helm console. (It’s open to question whether sleeping quarters make much sense in a dayboat of this type but the area is always useful for stowage.) The passenger-side console houses a lockable head with sink and opening port, and a well-positioned cockpit galley—or wet bar—includes a second sink as well as an insulated cooler and faucet with pullout sprayer. An L-shaped settee spans the transom and port side of the cockpit, and the rear section rises to reveal the engine compartment. An extended swim platform was standard and docking lights were a popular option. Technically, a permit is required to tow the Sea Ray 270 since her 8'10" beam slightly exceeds the legal 8'6" width restriction. Among several engine options, a single 375hp MerCruiser I/O will reach a top speed of just over 40 knots.
