270 Sundancer

There have been several 270 Sundancer models in Sea Ray fleet going back to the early 1980s. Unlike her predecessors, however, this most recent version is not trailerable—a notable difference that results in a roomier (and heavier) boat. Built on a deep-V hull with a wide 9'2" beam, the 270 Sundancer is a well-styled cruiser with clean lines and simple hull graphics. With her wider beam, the interior is spacious for a 27-footer with comfortable accommodations for as many as six. There’s a V-berth forward, a double berth in the mid-stateroom, a full galley (but not much counter space), and a standup head with sink and shower. In the cockpit, a portside settee is opposite the helm and a cooler is located under the aft-facing jump seat. Note that the foredeck steps are molded into the cabin door—a useful feature that opens up space at the helm. Additional features include a transom storage bin, cockpit shower, an extended swim platform, and a gas-assist engine hatch. A single 310hp MerCruiser sterndrive will cruise the 270 Sundancer at 20 knots (about 32–33 knots top), and twin 190hp Mercs will top out in the mid to high 30s.
