Sea Ray Yachts
270 Select EX; 270 SLX
2005–15
Taking bowrider luxury and styling to the next level, the Sea Ray 270 SLX (called the 270 Select EX in 2005–10) proved a major sales success for Sea Ray following her introduction in 2005. With her roomy cockpit, distinctive gull-wing sun pads, and extended swim platform, the 270 has the size and comfort families demand in a modern, multipurpose day boat. Built on a deep-V hull with a moderate 9-foot beam, standard features include a cockpit entertainment center with Corian countertop, bow seats with integrated armrests, integrated starboard boarding steps, enclosed head/change compartment (port console), in-floor ski/wakeboard locker, swivel helm seats, glove box, tilt wheel, portable cooler storage, transom shower, snap-in carpet, and power engine compartment hatch. Note the thru-stem anchor system. Options include an air compressor, underwater lights, docking lights, bow table, and fiberglass water sports tower with integral Bimini. A very popular model for Sea Ray, the 270 SLX will cruise in the high 20s with a single 300hp MerCruiser sterndrive engine (36–38 knots top).
