260 Sundancer

2015–18

Sea Ray Yachts 260 Sundancer
Latest in a series of popular 26-foot Sundancers produced by Sea Ray over the years, the model described here is an updated version of the previous 260 Sundancer model built in 2009–14. The hull is the same, but the styling is all new, and both the cockpit and interior layouts are modified as well. Sleek hullside windows not only admit more natural lighting into the cabin; they also have the visual effect of lowering the 260’s considerable freeboard. Below decks, the cabin layout is similar to most midcabin boats this size. A dinette/V-berth is forward followed by a small galley with microwave and refrigerator, standup head with sink and shower, and a athwartshipss double berth in the claustrophobic midcabin area. With her slender 8'6" beam, the interior of the Sea Ray 260 is confining is spite of the large salon windows. The cockpit features an aft bench seat that converts to a sun pad, port lounger, beverage holders, and a double-wide helm seat with reversible backrest. Unlike just about every other midcabin cruiser on the planet, there is no wet bar in the 260’s cockpit. Fuel capacity is very modest. A single 300hp MerCruiser I/O will cruise at 24–26 knots (mid 30s top).
