260 Overnighter
1998–2001
Sea Ray’s 260 Overnighter is a fun-in-the-sun family runabout whose sexy profile and above-average finish will appeal to buyers with an eye for quality. Like other day cruisers of her type, the 260 is mostly cockpit and she’s designed for those who do most of their boating on day trips with only an occasional need for overnighting. Depending on the seating arrangements—there are four additional cockpit plans besides the standard layout pictured below—the Overnighter accommodates three couples in a spacious cockpit that includes a refreshment center, swim platform and a concealed swim ladder. The stylish helm has a burlwood instrument panel with a tilt wheel, and the wraparound windshield (with a centerline walk-through) adds much to the boat’s sleek appearance. The entire aft deck and seat lifts on a hydraulic ram for engine (and storage) access. Below, the small cabin consists of a V-berth, head compartment, four opening ports and removable table. Note that an 8'6" beam makes her trailerable without a permit. A single 310hp MerCruiser I/O will cruise the Sea Ray 260 Overnighter at 24 knots and reach a top speed of 37–38 knots.
