Sea Fox
257 Center Console
2000–06
The Sea Fox 257 is an entry-level center console that offered attractive lines and a lot of features for a relatively low price. No one will confuse Sea Fox quality with that of a Pursuit or a Grady-White, but for those who want to chase fish for as little money as possible the 257 CC has a lot to offer. Family and friends will enjoy the forward seating layout, and the boat’s deep cockpit offers extra security when the going gets rough. An impressive list of standard features include a 50-gallon standup livewell, fresh and raw water washdowns, a leaning post with backrest and cooler, a large T-top with rod holders, a foldaway transom seat, insulated in-deck fish boxes, and cockpit bolsters. The console houses an enclosed head with a Porta-Potti. The standard trim tabs are recessed into the hull where they’re less likely to snag a line. Quoting from a Boating Magazine review, “…the Sea Fox 257 CC is a great boat for the price. It will get you to the fishing grounds and back, fishes comfortably, and has enough features to keep the family happy on a day cruise.” Twin 150hp outboards will power the 257 to a top speed in the neighborhood of 45 knots.
