Sea Fox

256 Commander

2007–17

Sea Fox 256 Commander
With its mega-wide 9'3" beam, versatile front-seating layout, and affordable price it’s easy to understand the sales success of the Sea Fox 256 during her production years. The 256 is one of the largest 25-foot center consoles produced in recent years. Her deep freeboard, padded coamings, high gunwales, and diamond-pattern nonskid provide bow-to-stern fishability with plenty of inherent safety. The forward casting platform will appeal to lure and fly casters, and the usable cockpit space found in the 256 exceeds that of many larger boats. There are four flush-mount rod holders in the gunwales, a four-rack transom launcher, and three more with the under-gunwale gaff/rod racks on each side of the cockpit. A huge 42-gallon mid-transom livewell, saltwater washdown, and two in-deck fish boxes are standard, and fold-down quarter seats come with molded backrests. The step-down console house a Porta-Potti. The side-by-side console seats are a nifty touch. The Sea Fox hull construction is wood-free, using a composite hull and deck. A single Yamaha F250 tops out at over 40 knots, and twin 150hp Yamahas will reach nearly 50 knots wide open.
