Scout
295 Abaco
2008–09
Introduced in 2008, the Scout 295 Abaco is a quality-built express with bold styling and a versatile deck layout—a sexy, fuel-efficient boat for fishing or cruising. With her tall bow freeboard and wide 9'6" beam, the Abaco is a big 29-footer with tons of eye appeal (note the slightly rounded transom and aft hull tumblehome). The cockpit is large enough for two anglers and their gear, and the Abaco’s center helm position provides exceptional visibility in all directions. Standard features include a hardtop with rod holders, bow pulpit, cockpit bolsters, folding rear seat, 30-gallon aft livewell (lighted), in-floor fish boxes, rod holders (6), cockpit rod storage, trim tabs, tackle station with sink, fresh and raw water washdowns, windshield vents, pull-up cleats, LED cockpit lights. The twin teak-planked swim platforms outboard of the engines are a distinctive touch. A bow thruster, generator, and anchor windlass were popular options. Below deck, the Abaco’s comfortable interior with teak and holly sole, full-service galley with microwave, quarterberth, and convertible dinette sleeps three. About 45 knots top with twin Yamaha F250s.
