Scout
260-262 XSF
2006–11
With her roomy cockpit and cool retro-style appearance, the Scout 262 XSF (called the 260 Sportfish when she was introduced in 2006) ranks among the better 26-foot center consoles on the water. Scout is known for introducing models with market-first innovations, and the 262 XSF was no exception. One of her more interesting features is a wave gate/fold-down stern seat that provides easy access to the transom, swim platforms, and engines. The wide 8'10" beam of the 262 is rare in a 26-footer (most boats this size opt for a trailerable 8'6" beam), and her innovative gunwale fish boxes are unique to Scout boats. Standard features include a stylish factory T-top, aft rigging station with sink and 27-gallon corner livewell, removable stern seat, and console head compartment with opening port. An electronically actuated sliding window at the helm protects the boat’s electronics package, and an optional leaning post came with a huge 55-gallon livewell. A “Guy Harvey Package” included a special hull color and graphics. Twin Yamaha 150s max out at over 40 knots.
