Robalo
2620 Center Console
1998–2001
A good-looking center console with an integrated bracket/dive platform and a molded pulpit, the Robalo 2620 is an affordable offshore fisherman with an impressive list of standard equipment. Robalo always had a reputation for building solid, durable boats—their 10-year limited hull warranty spoke for itself—and the cored stringer system and fiberglass cockpit liner of the 2620 only adds to her strength. (Note that her 8-foot, 11-inch beam is wider by 5 inches than the legal limit for trailering.) Like most modern center-console designs her size, a marine head is concealed within the console. A leaning post is standard; the passenger seat at the transom is removable, and the cockpit is surrounded with knee-level coaming bolsters. Additional features include an aerated live well, two fish boxes (under the elevated forward deck), fresh and raw water washdowns, under-gunwale rod storage, anchor locker, and a portable cooler stored under the seat in front of the console. Twin 200hp outboards reach a top speed of 40 knots. Note that she was updated in 2000 with improved below-deck storage access and redesigned tackle storage.
