52 Sport Coupe
2008–13
Regal entered the 50-foot-plus sport yacht market in a big way in 2008 with the introduction of the 52 Sport Coupe, a bold Italian-style express with the right mix of luxury, comfort and performance. Designed specifically for Volvo IPS pod drives, Regal (along with Tiara) was a leader in embracing this new power system in a boat this size. The 52 rides on a modified-V hull with cored hullsides, tall freeboard, and a wide 15'4" beam. The expansive main deck is loaded with amenities including an integral hardtop with electric sunroof, tiered side windows, wraparound cockpit seating, and a tender garage. Below decks, the luxurious two-stateroom interior features a huge salon finished with high-gloss cherry joinery, deluxe leather seating, and acres of teak-planked flooring. The VIP stateroom is forward, and the galley/dinette area is located between the vertical portholes providing plenty of natural lighting. An enormous full-beam master stateroom dwarfs anything in her class. A washer/dryer combo is located in the galley. Cruise at 25 knots (about 30 knots top) with fuel-efficient 435hp Volvo IPS diesels.
