320 Commodore

A stylish boat by the standards of her day, the graceful profile of the Regal 320 Commodore still draws compliments from boaters today—a testament to her enduring popularity on the used market. She was built on a solid fiberglass, deep-V hull, and her 11-foot, 2-inch beam is modest compared with many of today’s mega-beam cruisers. Below deck, the 320’s mid-cabin floorplan is arranged in the conventional manner with double berths fore and aft and a convertible U-shaped dinette in the cabin. Privacy curtains separate the primary sleeping areas from the salon, and a deep storage bin is located beneath the mid-cabin berth. A full galley, lots of storage, an enclosed head/shower, and good headroom round out this comfortable interior. The cockpit—with seating for seven—came with a wet bar with icemaker, a centerline transom gate, a swim platform with fender storage, and a transom shower. Unlike a lot of sportboats, the 320 has side decks (although they are rather narrow). A foredeck sun pad and tilt steering wheel were standard. Twin 260hp sterndrives cruise around 22 knots (about 35 knots top), and optional 340hp gas engines cruise at 25 knots and reach a top speed of around 40 knots.
