Radovich
34 Sportfisherman
1987–94
The Radovich 34 is a conservative West Coast fisherman with a huge cockpit, basic interior accommodations, and a distinctive low-profile appearance similar to early Luhrs, Tollycraft, and Silverton designs. She’s heavily built on a solid fiberglass hull, and a 15-inch keel runs about two-thirds the length of the bottom. The Radovich is a beamy boat for her length, and that—together with her raised cockpit sole—allows the motors to be mounted further outboard for improved low-speed handling. An aluminum bait tank occupies the center of the cockpit, and extra-wide side decks make foredeck access easy. Topside, the bridge is arranged in typical West Coast fashion with the helm forward (although variations were available). Offered with or without a lower helm, the modest no-glitz interior of the Radovich includes a dinette, standup head, an efficient galley, good cabin headroom, and berths for four. Several engine options were offered over the years. Among the more popular, twin 320hp Cat diesels cruise the Radovich 34 at an easy 20–21 knots with a top speed of around 26 knots.
