345 Drummond
2006–08
A unique boat from a company known for its marketing savvy, the Pursuit 345 Drummond (called the LS 345 Drummond in 2007–08) is a multipurpose express whose innovative center-island galley raised the bar for day-boat comfort and versatility. Locating the galley in the cockpit isn’t a new idea, but Pursuit designers took the concept to the next level by incorporating into the island a sink, side-loading refrigerator, microwave, single-burner stove, and storage drawers, and then adding a folding sun lounge aft for two passengers. Not surprisingly, moving the galley into the cockpit frees up space in the cabin. Boasting a full-size V-berth, folding settee, and a very large head compartment, there’s more elbow space in the 345’s cabin than one expects in a boat this size. In addition to the cruising layout described above, the Drummond was also available in a sportfish configuration with bait prep center, livewell, tackle storage, and in-deck fish boxes. Additional features include an electric helm seat, Corian galley counter, built-in transom seat, windlass, and a fiberglass hardtop. Twin 250hp Yamaha outboards reach close to 40 knots wide open.
