Pursuit Yachts
2650 Cuddy Cabin
1989–93
Introduced in 1989, this wide-beam express fisherman remains one of the biggest boats in her class even by today’s mega-beam standards. (Note that Pursuit called this boat the 2650 Cuddy until 1993 when she became the 2650 Express Fisherman.) Built on an aggressive 20-degree deadrise hull with balsa coring in the bottom and sides, she was available with a choice of outboard or sterndrive power. The spacious cockpit is large enough for a mounted chair and features a rigging station at the transom (bracket or sterndrive models only) with 16-gallon livewell, sink, and bait storage compartment. A fish box is built into the sole, and a raw-water washdown was standard. Wide side decks and secure railings make foredeck access easy and safe. Below deck, the Pursuit’s roomy cuddy is set up with V-berths forward, a compact galley with plenty of counter space, and a standup head with shower. Additional features include a well-arranged helm with room for electronics, cabin rod storage racks, bow pulpit, and excellent nonskid. A stable and comfortable ride, twin 200hp Yamahas cruise the Pursuit 2650 in the high 20s (about 40 knots top).
