33 Sportfish

1998–2003

Powerplay 33 Sportfish
The Powerplay 33 SF is an unabashed go-fast boat rigged for fishing. She is, in fact, a sportfish version of the Powerplay 33 Sport, a championship racing machine with a proven offshore pedigree. Built to exacting standards using high-tech materials and then state-of-the-art construction techniques, the 33 Sportfish rides on an aggressive deep-V hull with a slender 8'4" beam. One of the longer center consoles available, there’s plenty of cockpit space fore and aft of the console in spite of the narrow 8-foot, 4-inch beam. Fishing amenities include a 40-gallon livewell, two rod lockers, and tackle storage. Side-by-side bolster seats are fitted at the helm, and a two-person bench seat is forward of the console. The utilitarian cuddy cabin has an 8-foot V-berth and a portable head. Additional features include an insulated cooler, a first-rate helm layout, anchor locker and Imron hull graphics. Not inexpensive (most Powerplay 33s were custom built), a pair of 415hp 8.2-liter MerCruiser gas sterndrives reach a top speed of nearly 60 knots. Twin 250hp outboards top out at close to 50 knots.
