350-360 Sport Yacht

2005–11

Monterey 350-360 Sport Yacht
Introduced in 2005, the 350 Sport Yacht (called the 360 SY in 2009–11) combines bold styling and very aggressive performance in a luxurious, reasonably priced package. Many express cruisers in this size range are designed with inboard power, but for flat-out speed it’s difficult to match the performance of the Monterey’s sterndrive power. Stepping aboard, one of the most striking features of the 350 SY is the massive Eurostyle helm with its matte gray finish and Faria gauges. A U-shaped lounge in the aft cockpit offers seating for six and converts to a sun pad with the insertion of a filler, and the standard wet bar comes with a sink and 48-quart cooler. Below deck, the layout differs from many other cruisers in her class in that the mid-cabin is a true stateroom with standing headroom and a solid cherrywood door rather than just a privacy curtain. The salon is carpeted except for the area in front of the galley, which is finished with cherry-and-holly flooring. Engine access is through an electric hatch in the cockpit sole. On the downside, the single helm seat precludes the mate from joining the skipper. A fast ride with optional 420hp Volvo I/Os, the 350-360 SY will reach a top speed of 40+ knots.
