Med 48 Morocco Motor Yacht
Imported by Marine Trading International, the Med 48 Morocco is an enclosed aft deck motor yacht whose generous living accommodations will appeal to those seeking a comfortable cruising yacht at a surprisingly low price. Built by Angel Marine in Taiwan on a solid fiberglass hull, the Med isn’t a notably beamy boat by modern standards but she is a spacious yacht inside. This is partially due to the fact that the house is set well forward on the deck, which adds a good deal of volume to the interior. Too, the Med’s enclosed aft deck becomes a second salon—a paneled and air-conditioned living area rather than the open-air sundeck found in most other motor yachts. The 48’s two-stateroom, galley-down floorplan is arranged with double berths fore and aft and a large U-shaped dinette opposite the galley. Note that the forward head is split with the shower stall to port and the head to starboard. Like all Taiwan-built boats of her era, the full teak interior is an impressive display of Asian woodworking. A lower helm was optional. Twin 210hp Cummins diesels cruise around 10 knots, and 375hp Cats cruise at 17 knots (21–22 knots top).
