With her signature enclosed bridge profile, the innovative three stateroom interior of the Maritimo M51 offers something different in modern motor yacht design. Stepping into the salon through bi-fold glass doors, the Maritimo’s open plan interior has the galley aft, the dinette amidships and—a step up—facing lounge sofas forward. An internal staircase across from the galley leads to the upper helm, and attractive Amtico flooring is carried from the galley all the way forward to the companionway steps. Below, the full beam amidship master is set deep in the hull, three steps down from the hallway. The bed is angled to increase the floor space. The forward VIP stateroom has an island queen bed, and the second guest cabin to starboard has over/under single berths. Both heads have separate stall showers. With a fold out sofa, opening sunroof and large panoramic windows, the M51’s enclosed flybridge is more like a small salon. Wide walkaround decks are a plus, and a cavernous lazarette with electric hatch is beneath the cockpit sole. Access to the engine room is in the stern deck. Twin Volvo 670hp D11 shaft drive diesels cruise at 24–25 knots (about 30 knots top).
