314 Cuddy
2002–04
The Mako 314 Cuddy is a versatile cuddy console from a company with a long history of building rugged and dependable sportfishing boats. There’s nothing high-tech about the 314—she’s built on a solid fiberglass hull with a moderate 10'6" beam, cored hullsides, and an integrated swim platform. With her high bow rail and flat cabintop, the entire forward section of the 314 is one big casting platform. There’s a large storage area in the console for life jackets and fenders, etc., and the cuddy cabin is surprisingly spacious with a dinette/V-berth forward, an enclosed head compartment with shower, and a compact galley with sink, stove, and refrigerator. Port and starboard jump seats are forward of the helm, which also features a fold-down front console seat. Standard fishing amenities include three in-deck fish boxes, a 35-gallon transom livewell, a leaning post with tackle center, and lockable rod storage. Storage is a match for most center consoles in her class. A heavily built boat, the Mako 314 Cuddy will cruise at 25 knots with twin 225hp outboards and reach a top speed of 33–34 knots.
