Mako Yachts
295 Side Console Cuddy
1993–98
The largest dual console boat on the market during her production years, the Mako 295 is a sturdy offshore fisherman with a wide-open deck plan and family-friendly accommodations. She’s built on a modified-V hull with a full-length inner liner, cored hullsides, and a relatively wide beam. The cockpit is large enough for a mounted chair and features two 6-foot fish boxes in the sole, an in-deck livewell, bait-prep station, and transom door. (A storage bin built into the full-height transom can also be plumbed as a livewell.) The cuddy cabin is very complete and comes with an enclosed head, mini-galley, convertible dinette, and a pair of pull-down pipe berths. Thanks to the crowned foredeck, the headroom is over 6 feet. The helm is a step up from the aft cockpit, and visibility over the 295’s high bow is excellent. A relatively heavy boat, twin 250hp Yamahas cruise the 295 Dual Console efficiently at 26 knots and reach 37–38 knots top.
