295 Center Console Cuddy

1996–97

Mako Yachts 295 Center Console Cuddy
Mako’s largest center console during the 1990s, the Mako 295 combines the advantages of a full transom cockpit with the versatility of a functional cuddy cabin. She’s built on a shallow deadrise hull with a full-length inner liner, cored hullsides, and a relatively wide beam. The cockpit is large enough for a mounted chair and features two 6-foot fish boxes in the sole, an in-deck livewell, bait prep station, aerated transom livewell, and transom door. Coaming bolsters were standard as were and salt- and freshwater washdowns. A convenient walk-in console provides easy access to the batteries and electronics, and the step-up helm provides good visibility over the 295’s high bow. The cuddy cabin is very complete with an enclosed head, mini-galley with sink and refrigerator, convertible dinette, and twin pull-down pipe berths. Thanks to the crowned foredeck, cabin headroom is close to six feet. Additional features of the Mako 295 Center Console include low-profile bow rails, trim tabs, tilt steering wheel, and cockpit rod storage racks. A relatively heavy boat, twin 250hp Yamahas top out at 35+ knots.
