260B-270B-273B Walkaround

1990–94

Introduced in 1990 as the Mako 260B Walkaround (the “B” stands for Bracket), in 1992 she was called the 270B, and in 1993–94 she was known as the 273B—always the exact same (trailerable) boat as the original 260B with updated model designations every so often to keep the boat fresh in the public eye. Designed for both the family fisherman and the hard-core angler who needs more weather protection than a center console can offer, the walkaround side decks of the 260B/270B/273B series are wide enough for easy access to the bow. Heavily built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull, these are good-running boats in a chop. Below decks, the cabin comes with V-berths forward, a removable dinette table, an enclosed standup head and shower compartment, a galley with sink, and additional rod storage. Standard features include a pair of in-deck fish boxes, a doublewide helm seat with a jump seat aft, tackle lockers, bench seating forward, and a lift-out fish box in the transom. A popular model in the Mako fleet during her production years, twin 200hp outboards cruise any of the “B” series models at 26–27 knots with a top speed of around 40 knots.
