Jupiter

35 Convertible

2001–04

Jupiter 35 Convertible
The Jupiter 35 Convertible (originally called the Phoenix 35 Convertible) came out in 2001 shortly after Jupiter Marine acquired the assets of the old Phoenix Yacht Corporation. She’s basically a reworked version of the earlier Phoenix 34 SFX Convertible (1987–99) with a redesigned deckhouse and hull bottom and an extra foot of hull length. Prop pockets are used to reduce the shaft angles, and additional fuel was added to improve her range. The tastefully finished interior of the Jupiter 35 is arranged with a raised dinette to port in the salon, a mid-level galley, and a private stateroom forward with a centerline double berth. A two-stateroom arrangement with the galley up was also available—an unusual option in such a small convertible. With over 100 square feet of fishing space, the cockpit is roomy for a 35-footer. An in-deck livewell and fish box are standard, and the padded engine boxes serve as a pair of aft-facing seats. (Note that access to the engines is provided from the salon as well as the cockpit.) Among several engine options, twin 420hp Yanmar diesels cruise the Jupiter 35 at 25 knots and reach a top speed of just over 30 knots.
