Vector 3500 VX

2008–10

Hydra-Sports Vector 3500 VX
Introduced in 2008 at the height of the Great Recession, the Hydra-Sports 3500 VX is a luxury-class express similar to the company’s smaller 3300 VX, but bigger and faster. She rides on a Kevlar-reinforced hull with a relatively wide beam and an aggressive 23 degrees of transom deadrise. Part fishing machine and part day cruiser, the versatile layout of the 3500 VX includes L-lounge seating forward of the helm and a roomy cockpit with storage for 30 rods. Note the tall helm console, low-profile windshield, and molded cockpit steps. Fit and finish is a match for most anything in her class. Standard features include a windlass, bow thruster, ransom door, foldaway rear seat, aft-facing cockpit seat with cooler, foredeck sun pads, in-deck fish boxes (2), 40-gallon livewell, bait prep station, tackle storage, cockpit bolsters, gunnel rod holders, fresh and raw water washdowns, cockpit lights, and Lenco trim tabs. The hardtop misters are a nice touch. Below deck, a cozy cabin with standup head/shower, convertible dinette, and mid-cabin berth sleeps four. Twin Yamaha 350s reach 40+ knots wide open.
