3300 Sport Fisherman
1989–92
Based on the go-fast hull previously used in the production of the Donzi 33, the Hydra-Sports 3300 is a high-performance offshore fisherman with a console/cuddy deck plan and bracket-mounted outboard power. Her deep-V hull is balsa cored from the waterline up, and the narrow 9'6" beam allows the 3300 to be trailered with a permit. A good-looking boat with an aggressive profile, the 3300 features a wide helm console with space for flush-mounting a full array of add-on electronics. Cockpit seating is excellent: a bench seat behind the helm seat faces aft, and a full-width bench seat folds flush against the transom for more cockpit space. Inside the small cuddy, a big V-berth will sleep two adults, and the compact galley came with a stove and sink. Note that the 3300 was one of the earlier designs to feature a standup head compartment inside the console. Additional features include a double helm seat with rocket launchers, an aft-facing cockpit seat, padded coaming, and a folding tower. A good heavy-weather performer, twin 300hp Mercury outboards reach a top speed of 40+ knots.
