2800-3100 Sportfish

A heavily built boat, the Hydra-Sports 3100 (called the 2800 Sportfish in 1992–95; 3100 Sportfish in 1996–98) combines the fishabilty of a large cockpit with the cruising comforts of a well-appointed interior. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and a wide 10'7" beam results in a large cockpit for a boat this size with room for several anglers. Styling was a selling point when the 2800 was introduced in 1992—integrated swim platforms were just becoming popular in those days. Standard features include a molded bow pulpit with roller, anchor locker, integrated swim platform, boarding ladder, transom livewell, bait prep station, lift-out fish box, tackle storage, raw-water washdown, cockpit bolsters, rod storage racks, folding transom seat, opening ports with screens (4), gunnel rod holders, trim tabs, cockpit lights, Pompanette helm chairs, and transom door. Wide walkways around the cabin provide good access to the bow area. Below deck, the mid-cabin interior of the Hydra-Sports 2800/3100 includes a full-service galley, rod storage racks, enclosed head with shower, and convertible dinette/V-berth forward. About 40 knots top with twin Yamaha 225s.
