Four Winns
338-348 Vista
2000–04
The Four Winns 338 Vista (called the 348 Vista in 2002–04) is an inboard version of the Four Winns 328 Vista. Like her sistership, the 338/248 was an attractively priced entry in the very crowded midsize family cruiser market. She’s built on modified-V hull with cored hullsides and a wide 11'9" beam. The Vista is a big boat inside and out with generous accommodations for a boat this size. Below deck, the floorplan is typical of most mid-cabin cruisers her size with double berths fore and aft, a large U-shaped settee, full galley (with plenty of storage drawers and cabinets), and a fair-size head with shower. Note that a sliding screen door backs the companionway hatch. In the single-level cockpit, the big U-shaped lounge aft converts into a sun pad and a molded entertainment center comes with an icemaker and sink. Molded steps in the console provide easy access to the walk-through windshield. Standard features include a large transom locker, tilt wheel, six opening ports and an extended swim platform. MerCruiser 320hp inboards cruise in the low 20s (30+ knots top), and twin 320hp MerCruiser I/Os cruise at 26–28 knots (high 30s wide open).
