Four Winns
258 Vista
1994–98
The Four Winns 258 Vista is a well-built trailerable cruiser with a modern sport cruiser profile (note the absence of a bow pulpit) and an affordable price. She’s built on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull that incorporates the bottom of the swim platform as part of the running surface. Below decks, the midcabin floorplan features a full galley with sink, stove, refrigerator, and counter space. Wraparound seating forward doubles as a V-berth or—with a removable table—turns into a four-place dinette. The enclosed head has standing headroom and includes a vanity and shower. The midcabin serves as a second stateroom with a double berth and privacy curtain. Engine access is through a hatch in the cockpit sole, and since there are no side decks, a walk-through windshield provides access to the bow. Additional features include a wide swim platform with swim ladder and a walk-through transom. A single 255hp 5.8-liter OMC (or 225hp 5.7-liter Volvo) sterndrive engine will provide a cruising speed of 18 knots and reach a top speed in the neighborhood of 30 knots. An all-new 258 was introduced in 2005.
