Edgewater
262 Center Console
2016–22
A top-tier 26-footer, the Edgewater 262 is a midsize center console with a versatile layout and an array of practical fishing features. For cruising, the wraparound bow seating has forward-facing backrests and plenty of drink holders. A surprisingly roomy head compartment with an electric toilet and freshwater sink is accessed from a forward entry door. Moving aft, the leaning post is available in several configurations for fishing or entertaining. A bait prep station on back side of the leaning post includes a sink with freshwater faucet, cutting board and storage, with an electric grill available as an option. A standout feature of the 262 is the hardtop with its two-post frame and frameless Clear View windshield that practically eliminates blind spots at the helm. Two in-floor fish boxes with pumpouts are standard in the cockpit, and a large center hatch forward of the transom provides access to the bilge. A folding transom bench seat frees up considerable cockpit space for fishing. With just 21 inches of draft, the 262 can safely explore shallow bays and coves. Like all Edgewater boats, the 262 is unsinkable. Twin Yamaha F200s reach a top speed of about 45 knots.
