Eclipse
39 Sport Fisherman
0
The Eclipse 39 is an innovative New Zealand-bred sportfisherman whose semi-enclosed pilothouse, deep walkaround side decks, walk-in engine room, and bow fishing station will appeal to anglers looking for something different in a no-nonsense fishing platform. A 39-footer with a walkaround is rare indeed, and the bow deck, with its livewell, dry storage bin, and cushioned seat makes this a comfortable fishing spot. The cockpit—a full 120 sq. ft.—comes with a transom door, washdowns, and recirculating livewell, and there’s an aft-facing bench seat for watching the baits. Note that the outriggers are mounted high on the cabin sides where they won’t get in the way of fore-to-aft movement. Eclipse offers a choice of floorplans with the standard layout having a single stateroom forward and the alternate arrangement having the master stateroom aft. Additional features include cockpit and interior access to the engine room, excellent storage, and easy tower access from inside the pilothouse. Riding on a modified-V hull with positive flotation and a collision bulkhead forward, twin 300-hp Cummins diesels cruise the Eclipse 39 at 24 knots and deliver a top speed of around 29–30 knots.
