EDITOR NOTES: Distinctive, well-built offshore fishing boat with jackshaft power offers superior stern drive performance without the need of an engine box. The Dorado design makes it easy to access the engine and all moving parts. The hull design provides a seaworthy ride whether in rough waters or resting. With an extremely sharp entry, this is an extremely smooth, pound-free ride. It has a fairly flat trailing edge which provides stability at rest. Features include insulated fish boxes, transom livewell, canvas spray hood, anchor locker, hinged console/engine box, coaming pads, raw-water washdown, forward seating, cuddy with V-berth. Trailerable—only 5,000 lbs. with engine. Low-deadrise hull is fuel efficient but a hard ride in heavy seas. Outboard model also available. Single 230hp Volvo diesel will cruise efficiently at 25 knots burning just 6 gph.
