Cobia
301 Center Console
2018–Current
The Cobia 301 is a slightly upgraded version of the popular 296 Center Console (2012–17), the boat the 301 replaced in 2018. Featuring a flush deck layout with relatively high freeboard, the 301’s redesigned console integrates the hardtop frame resulting in slightly wider walkways compared with the 296 CC. Like her predecessor, the 301 features a front entry door to the step-down, fully lined head compartment with marine toilet, vanity with a sink, and a freshwater faucet that pulls out to become a shower. There’s added space in the cockpit, and the tackle station now has a freshwater sink and rigging station. Fishing features include two 28-gallon recirculating livewells in the transom, a pair of big in-deck fish boxes in the cockpit sole, leaning post with tackle storage, gunnel rod holders (8), and under-gunnel rod storage. The electric bow table is a nice touch, and a folding transom seat, cockpit coaming pads, fresh and raw-water washdowns, and pull-up cleats are standard. The hardtop comes with outriggers, an electronics box, and rod holders on each aft leg. Yamaha 250hp outboards deliver a top speed of 45+ knots.
