Cobia
274 Center Console
2003–06
The Cobia 274 Center Console is an updated version of Cobia’s previous 274 Center Console (2001–02) with larger fish boxes, increased fuel capacity, and a redesigned helm. A versatile, low-cost boat designed for entry-level anglers, hull construction is solid fiberglass, and a slender 8'6" beam allows the 274 to be trailered in all states without a permit. The deck layout—with its raised bow casting platform and generous storage—has more cockpit space aft of the helm than most center consoles her size. Standard features include an integrated swim/dive platform, 42-gallon transom livewell, molded bow pulpit with roller, in-deck fish boxes, leaning post with tackle storage, cockpit bolsters, raw-water washdown, bow storage lockers, walk-in console with portable head, recessed bow rail, anchor storage, gunnel rod holders, cockpit rod storage, trim tabs, cockpit lights, and forward console seat. Note that the rear seat cushions must be removed to access the livewell. The transom door is narrow. A light boat for her size, Yamaha 225hp outboards deliver a top speed of over 40 knots.
