Cobia

264-274 Center Console

1998–2002

Cobia 264-274 Center Console
The Cobia 274 (called the 264 Center Console in 1998–2000) is a basic, entry-level center console with attractive lines and an uncluttered deck layout. A slender 8'6" beam allows the Cobia 274 to be trailered without a permit, and her relatively light weight (compared with other boats in her class) is key to her good fuel economy. Not to be confused with the newer Cobia 274 Center Console introduced in 2003. Standard features include a molded bow pulpit with roller, integrated swim platform with ladder, anchor locker, in-deck fish boxes, anchor locker, cockpit bolsters, forward casting deck with storage under, hydraulic steering, pedestal helm seats, one-piece bow rail, rear seat with backrest, transom livewell, walk-in console with portable head, raw-water washdown, drink holders, front console seat, bow cushions, gunnel rod holders (4), trim tabs, and cockpit rod storage. A factory T-top with rod holders and leaning post were popular options. On the downside, the transom door is narrow and fit and finish is typical of most low-cost boats. Just over 40 knots wide open with twin Yamaha 200s.
