Cobia
261-262 Center Console
2017–Current
With one of the roomiest deck layouts in this class, the Cobia 262 (called the 261 until 2019) is a quality, well designed fishing boat with all the bells and whistles, plus a few family-friendly features to keep everyone happy. The Cobia has plenty of cockpit space whether behind the tackle station with premium helm seating or in front of the forward entry console with its step-down head compartment. At the bow, the seating is expansive with a wraparound lounge area where the middle section slides out for easy access to the anchor locker. Beneath these seats are two insulated storage boxes. There is an additional cooler area beneath the forward-facing seat in front of the center console. The Cobia’s 9'3" beam provides plenty of room to maneuver and work lines in the aft cockpit. Abundant tackle storage resides abaft and below the helm seats, and a 29-gallon livewell is built into the port transom corner. A switch allows the transom to raise up for access to bilge pumps, wiring, water separators, etc. The 262 CC has all the features of the 261 CC with the addition of a new console and integrated windshield frame. Twin 150hp outboards reach a top speed close to 40 knots.
