Cobia
256 Center Console
2008–16
Built on a newly designed deep-V variable deadrise hull, the Cobia 256 CC is a sold choice for those looking for a versatile day boat for fishing or family fun. The 256 accomplishes this convertibility with her forward seating layout and a six-piece bow cushion set that converts the casting platform into comfortable lounge seats with removable backrests. Aft, an optional upholstered fold-down bench can seat three people comfortably, and there’s room inside the console for a portable or electric marine head. With a recessed bow rail and unencumbered bow to stern access, anglers can enjoy 360-degree fishing from anywhere in the boat. Fishing features include a 28-gallon dual drain transom livewell, under-gunwale rod and gaff storage, and two insulated in-deck fish boxes. A wide dive door leads out to a built-in swim ladder, and a recessed bow rail makes walking to the bow in rough conditions safer. With a long list of options like hideaway aft seat seating, multiple choices of hard tops, and a leaning post with tackle station, the 256 CC could be configured for a wide variety of activities. Twin Yamaha F150 outboards deliver a top speed just north of 4o knots.
