Cobia

237-240 Center Console

2009–Current

The Cobia 240 (called the Cobia 237 in 2009–18) has a wide beam for its size resulting in more cockpit space than most center console boats this size. She also features a level floor stem to stern, which makes fighting a fish around the boat safe and secure. The helm leaning post comes with a four-rod rack across the back. A convenient rigging station is housed underneath, complete with multiple drawers and built-in boxes for tackle. The foldaway rear seat provides room for anglers, and a 28-gallon standup livewell is in the transom next to the door. In the floor are a pair of 40-gallon macerated fish boxes. The cockpit coamings are fully padded. Inside the console is a Porta-Potti, a pullout shower and six feet of headroom. All lockers are fully finished, and the through-stem anchor roller has space for a windlass. The helm layout is especially well-done with space for a pair of monitors on the dash in front of the standard leaning post. In 2019, Cobia retooled the topside with wraparound bow seating replacing the original molded seats. A single F300 Yamaha outboard delivers a top speed of 45 knots.
