Catalina 34
2015–Current
The Catalina 34 is a super-luxury center console originally conceived as a megayacht tender. Chris Craft has been well known in recent years for their retro series of runabouts and launches, and the new Catalina series is designed to compete in the fast-growing market for luxury center consoles. The Catalina 34 comes fully equipped and offers twin- and triple-engine power options. Fuel capacity is 300 gallons for long-range excursions from Florida’s coast into the Bahamas and beyond. Far more cruising boat than hardcore fishing machine, the Catalina’s layout provides seating for a dozen passengers. The bow seating area features a double sun lounger forward of the helm with folding arm rests, and an aft bench seat includes port and starboard folding seats. Below the forward helm seating and console are overnight accommodations with a berth, sink, and marine head. Fishing features include a 30-gallon livewell, two in-deck fish boxes, and rod holders. A full-beam hardtop with sunshade offers protection from the sun and weather. Teak decks and a triple-wide helm seat are standard. Triple 300hp Verado outboards top out at 55 knots. Did we say expensive?
